You must have a Provisional License, and be 17 years of age. It is also worthwhile having an eyesight test to check that you meet the minimum eyesight standard for driving (Reading a number plate from 20.5 metres / 67 feet away).

How often you have your lessons is entirely up to you. Mal.uk recommends 1 or 2 lessons of 2 hours per week if at all possible.
You can cut the cost of learning to drive by taking advantage of block booking discounts. Savings can be made on courses of 10 hours or more. If you hold an NUS card, student rates apply. This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount from mal.uk.
Driving is a skill that some people learn quicker than others. Your instructor will monitor your progress at the end of each lesson using mal.uk’s Track Record. Each pupil varies depending on their individual learning curve, age etc.the driving standard agency (dsa) recommends 45 hours with 22 hours private tuitioning. Your instructor will tell you approximately how many lessons you will require after your assessment lesson.
Yes. This can be arranged by your instructor or by contacting the office. Your course can be as intensive as you wish (subject to availability). You will first have a 1 hour Assessment lesson to determine how many more hours of tuition you need to reach test standard. Previous experience is taken into account. Courses start from 20 hours.
No. In fact it is a good idea to learn the theory whilst you are learning the practical as it can bring the subject alive making it easier to understand and remember. you can now practice for your theory and hazard perception test at our training centre in 4 different languages contact the office on 0121 328 7470 for more information.
You can visit our centre where full training is provided alternately you can also purchase BOOKS and Theory Test CD-ROMS as well as Hazard Perception CD-ROMS & DVD’s from us of which contain official DSA exam questions. Also available in different languages.
